Callestock on TV! Josie Gibson’s Taste of the Westcountry.

We’re absolutely thrilled to share some exciting news — Liz, Nick and Ben have been filmed for the brand-new TV programme Josie Gibson’s Taste of the Westcountry, which is due to air on ITVX from 7th November!

Earlier this year, the lovely Josie Gibson came to Little Callestock farm in the heart of the Cornish countryside to meet everyone and experience life down on the farm – but of course, her biggest fans, apart from us, were our gorgeous Jersey cows. Josie received a warm welcome to Callestock from Liz and Nick before heading out to the meadows with Nick to meet the herd and then back to Callestock Courtyard to sample some true Cornish hospitality.

As always, there’s a couple of particularly curious cow who loves to steal the show, and this time it was Bryer and Biscuit! Needless to say, Josie quickly fell in love with our inquisitive girl — and the feeling seemed mutual. Josie also couldn’t help but admire Trevor the Bull, who certainly caught her eye with his gentle nature, charm and rather handsome good looks.

After spending time with the Jerseys and the baby calves, Josie joined Liz back at the farmhouse kitchen to try her hand at some traditional baking. Liz’s scones were the order of the day, and together they baked up a batch using Liz’s grandmother’s much-loved recipe. The kitchen was filled with that irresistible smell of fresh baking and plenty of laughter, with a dusting of flour along the way.

To round off the visit, Liz, Nick, and Ben sat down with Josie in Callestock’s lovely courtyard, to enjoy a proper Cornish Cream Tea — freshly baked scones, a generous helping of Boddington’s Strawberry Conserve, and, of course, the crowning glory: a bit dollop of Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream.

We are really excited to see the programme — we just hope we don’t end up on the cutting room floor! It was such a pleasure to welcome Josie to our farm; she’s such a lovely, bubbly person, and we all instantly loved her.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, and we can’t wait to see how it all comes together on screen. We hope you’ll tune in to Josie Gibson’s Taste of the Westcountry on ITVX from 7th November— we’ll definitely be watching with a cream tea in hand!
