Springtime Joy at Callestock – new arrivals!

Welcoming Our Beautiful Jersey Calves.

Spring is a season of new life on the farm, and this year is no exception! We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of the first six beautiful Jersey calves, the latest additions to our herd. The first little one, Ivory, was born last weekend, and just yesterday, our lovely cow Galaxy welcomed a gorgeous new calf into the world. There’s just one problem—we haven’t chosen a name yet!

Help Us Name Our Newest Calf! To keep with tradition, her name must begin with ‘I’ and be inspired by either chocolate (or perhaps something sweet) or the galaxy (a celestial name to match her mum, Galaxy). We’d love your ideas! If you have a suggestion, feel free to share it, send us a message, or if you’re planning to visit us this Spring, let us know when you see us around the farm.

Our happy herd of Jersey cows are at the heart of everything we do here at Callestock. With their big brown eyes, gentle nature, and beautiful golden coats, they graze peacefully in our lush meadows, feasting on rich grass and sweet clover. This natural diet helps them produce the most delicious, creamy milk—perfect for making the Cornish Clotted Cream that Rodda’s is famous for. It’s wonderful to know that the milk from our cows plays a part in creating such a cherished local treat!
