Cycling Holidays in Cornwall
Ready to hop on a bike and discover the beautiful countryside around Callestock? We’ve got bikes here waiting for you, and there’s no better way to enjoy the peaceful country lanes and scenic bridlepaths than on two wheels.
One of our favourite routes takes you along the leafy lanes and onto the Saints Trail, winding through the valley all the way to Perranporth. It’s a gentle, picturesque ride with plenty of perfect pit stops. Why not pause at The Bay Tree Café in Goonhavern Garden Centre for a morning coffee and a slice of cake?
From Perranporth, head up through Perrancombe to the charming village of Mithian. Here, you can pop into the Miners Arms for a laid-back lunch or a refreshing cider. Then, cruise back through the quiet lanes to Callestick, where you’ve truly earned a scoop (or two!) of our favourite Callestick Ice Cream.
We have detailed maps of this route—just ask Liz when you arrive, and she’ll be happy to help.

The Great Flat Lode Trail
This circular trail, just a short drive from Redruth and Camborne, takes you right through Cornwall’s rich mining heritage. A slightly more rugged route, it’s ideal for those who enjoy a mix of history and off-the-beaten-track beauty.

There’s a handy café on site for post-ride treats, and bikes can be hired if you haven’t brought your own. It’s a lovely way to spend a relaxed morning or afternoon in the fresh Cornish air.
The Clay Trails
Tucked away near St Austell, the Clay Trails wind through the fascinating china clay landscape of mid-Cornwall. These quieter routes are perfect if you’re looking to escape the crowds and take in something a little different. With a mix of off-road tracks and peaceful country lanes, it’s a wonderfully tranquil ride with a unique backdrop.
