Beaches

The beaches in Cornwall are stunning and many would agree that the beaches on the north coast of Cornwall are the finest in the country. Not far from us you will find stunning beaches of fine golden sand, pretty coves and secluded bays, perfect for a spot of chilling and relaxation...and surfing of course!  The closest one to us is Perranporth beach which has just been voted the best beach in Cornwall and it's one of the Top 10 in the UK. It's a wonderful beach for surfing, walking, or just sitting and watching the sun go down.

Head to Newquay but before you get there turn off to Crantock a fascinating little village which leads down to the magnificent sweep of Crantock Beach with delightful walks along the River Gannel and only 15 minutes away. Just around the corner from Crantock is Holywell Bay, where some of the scenes from the recent Poldark series were filmed.

A short drive from Callestock will take you to Perranporth, 3 miles of beautiful beach and cliff-top walks. Liz and Nick often enjoy an evening stroll along the beach followed by refreshments at the Watering Hole while watching the sun go down. Along the coast towards Newquay you will find Fistral beach which is another sandy bay with stunning views to Pentire Point.

Westwards along the coast will take you to the St Agnes area. The beaches at Trevaunance, Chapel Porth and Porthtowan are all on the South West Coast Path and have spectacular cliff-top walks all the way down to Godrevy, where you may even glimpse the seals.

Any of these superb beaches are within easy reach of our beautiful cottages.
