Cream Teas by the Fal Estuary!

For those of you visiting Cornwall and coming to Callestock, a visit to Halwyn Tea Gardens, near Old Kea just outside Truro, is a must. Nick and I sat in the wonderful garden overlooking the River Fal enjoying tea in bone china cups, a delicious lunch followed by a cream tea. I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon. May is one of the most magical times to visit Cornwall, the woodland walks are awash with colourful wild flowers and bluebells. There are some super walks around the River Fal. Why not park up at Trelissick and do the woodland walk (only paying for the car park – free if you are NT members) and enjoy wonderful views of the river. Another area to explore is Coombe and Cowlands Creek. Both of these walks are only a stones throw from Halwyn!
