Try to leave the car behind for the day, put on your walking boots and explore the surrounding countryside. We have put together some local walks, details of which are in our cottages; one around Zelah and St Allen and one around Goonhavern, both of which offer refreshments on route.
Bikes are here for your use at any time and maps are provided. Why not cycle to Callestick village and take in a visit to Healeys Cyder Farm and on the way back call in at Callestick Ice Cream where you can sample some delicious treats!
A super way to see west Cornwall is on the Open Top Bus, drive to St Ives and hop on for a magical tour around the stunning coastal route.
If you like to use the buses, the nearest stop to us is in the middle of Zelah only about a 15 min walk from us. The bus service is very good - every half an hour into Truro. Click on these links for a map of the bus routes in Cornwall and the lastest timetable information.
Take a trip on one of the three pretty branch lines - The Looe Valley Line, The Maritime Line and The St Ives Bay Line - all offer picturesque views of Cornwall.
The walk or cycle along the Camel Trail at Wadebridge is a great way to see the wildlife along the Camel Estuary. A variety of birds can be spotted on the way - see how many you can catch a glimpse of!
