We know that like us all of of our guests love breakfast, coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or a cocktail with a view!! So we've done a bit of research and come up with some beauties for you to try while holidaying with us here at Callestock Courtyard.
This hidden delight The Cabin Beach Cafe, can be found in the quiet and secluded village of Perranuthnoe. Retreat from beach and you will find this little hidden beach-hut style cafe resting in a field overlooking countryside and coast. It offers tasty treats all year round using the finest local produce.
This delightful little cafe, the Harbour View is located right beside the harbour in Porthleven on the south Cornish coast. Pop in for breakfast, a light lunch or a cream tea, this popular cafe has great reviews and offers seating inside and outside. Portion sizes are generous and the staff very friendly. What more could you ask for.
This wonderful restaurant/cafe Hooked on the Rocks, literally sits on the rocks overlooking the beach at Swanpool nr Falmouth. Offering both inside and outside seating, this place is a perfect stop off after taking a dip in the azure blue waters at Swanpool beach. Nick and I love to swim at Swanpool and often retreat to Hooked for a spot of lunch. Give it a try, we know that you won't be disappointed and it's a great spot for watching everyone messing about on the water.
Carnewas Tea Rooms overlooks the famous Bedruthan Steps and beach below with views beyond to Parkhead. This cafe is steeped in history, starting life as an old mining stable. The old horse paddocks are now a wonderful tea garden which is an idyllic setting for lunch or afternoon tea.
Nestled in the cliffs on the Riviere Towans in Hayle you will find this little gem. The Cove Cafe is located in the most wonderful tranquil spot with a stunning view across the bay towards St Ives and Carbis Bay. The food is fresh, local and very tasty and you will find inside and outside seating. Nick and I haven't tried this one yet, but it's very near the top of our list and we'll head down there very soon so that we can tell you all about it.
Boscastle Farm Shop and Cafe is located up the hill from Boscastle itself at Hillsborough Farm. It is surrounded by National Trust farmland and is less than 50 yards from the South West Coast Path, making it an ideal stop off for lunch or afternoon tea. The coastal kitchen makes everything for the farm shop and cafe, the specialities being their home-made burgers and sausages, Cornish breakfasts, lovely lunches and home-made cakes. With stunning views over Boscastle and the beautiful north Cornish coastline, this is definitely one to add to your list.
Just a short drive from us here at Callestock down at Perranporth and right on the beach, you'll find Alcatraz Cafe and Bar. Whether you are after morning coffee, a light lunch, afternoon tea and cake, or a sun-downer cocktail, Alcatraz offers all of these, so just take your pick. Perranporth beach is the perfect spot to watch the sun go down, so this is the best venue for an evening cocktail. For those of you who like a dip in the sea, why not come back to Alcatraz for a warm up and a hot chocolate, sometimes it's just got to be done.
