"It was a dream project from the start," explained Liz, owner of Callestock Courtyard Holiday Cottages. "The location, with its uninterrupted views across green Cornish countryside, was perfect and we knew our guests would appreciate the tranquillity, so we prioritised outside space as well as light and space throughout."

The property was finished in 2018, receiving its first guests in the Summer - it was an instant hit with guests, attracting 5 star reviews and bookings from new guests and returning.

"Nick and I worked with the very finest Cornish craftsmen to make sure the quality was second to none," continued Liz. "The feedback from guests from humbling - we're just thrilled to have found such amazing local tradespeople to turn the dream into a reality."

Quality in Tourism inspected the property in 2019 as part of the annual visit to the cottages - as well as awarding Callestock Vean five star status, the inspector also praised the location, attention to detail and unique character of the Vean.

All the ingredients were there to warrant the accolade of "Unique Accommodation" from the industry body.
