Rare Green Heron sighted at the Lost Gardens of Heligan /18.10.2010

First spotted on the morning of the 6th October, the rare Green Heron seems to have made the Lost Valley at Heligan its home for the time being. This little bird is extremely rare with a total of only 7 sightings since records began. The last sighting in the UK was in 2008 in Kent. [...]

We are so lucky to have our very own Great Spotted Woodpecker visiting us here at Callestock.  Our bird table in the courtyard seems to be a favourite haunt of our ‘Woody’!
