'Woody' the Great Spotted Woodpecker here at Callestock / 09.06.2010
We are so lucky to have our very own Great Spotted Woodpecker visiting us here at Callestock.  Our bird table in the courtyard seems to be a favourite haunt of our 'Woody'!  We've been putting fat blocks with insects in them in the feeder, this seems to be what he likes to eat.  As our regular guests know, we are surrounded by woodland and we very often hear woodpeckers drumming on an early spring morning.
